Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 06 May 2022:
64 New Cases (All local) and 1 Death were reported today. (7-day rolling average for new cases rises to 53 from 52 (yesterday).
Vaccination Update: 15 542 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 5 894 358, 62 962 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 776 489 while 14 980 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 628 615.
As of 05 May 2022, @1500hrs there were (23) hospitalized cases: New Admissions (9), Asymptomatic (1), mild to moderate (18), severe (1) and (3) in Intensive Care Units. 7 of the 23 hospitalized were vaccinated and 16 were not vaccinated.
2 505 tests were done today (Positivity today was 3.1%)
