Zimbabwe Coronavirus / COVID-19 Update 5 May 2022: New Cases Rise

Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 05 May 2022:

• 100New Cases (All local) and 1 Death reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases rises to 52 from 46 (yesterday).

• Vaccination Update: 6 330received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 5 878 816, 21 641 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 713 527while 6 436 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 617 635.

• As of 04 May 2022, @1500hrs there were (24) hospitalized cases: New Admissions (9), Asymptomatic (1), mild to moderate (19), severe (1) and (3) in Intensive Care Units. 10 of the 24 hospitalized were vaccinated and 14 were not vaccinated.

• 3 864 tests done today (Positivity today was 3.1%)
