Zimbabwe Coronavirus / COVID-19 Update: 29 April 2022

Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 29 April 2022:

  • 58 New Cases (All local) and 0 Deaths were reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases remains 51 as (of yesterday).
  • Vaccination Update: 5 514 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 5 861 048, 7 158 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 666 064 while 6 800 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 599 797.
  • As of 28 April 2022, @1500hrs there were (40) hospitalized cases: New Admissions (2), Asymptomatic (0), mild to moderate (40), severe (2) and (0) in Intensive Care Units. 25 of the 42 hospitalized were vaccinated and 17 were not vaccinated.
  • 3 710 tests were done today (Positivity today was 2.1%)
  • 40 new recoveries: National Recovery Rate rises to 98% & Active cases rise to 731.
  • As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 247 842 Cases 241 643 recoveries & 5 469 Deaths.
