Zimbabwe Coronavirus / COVID-19 Update: 11 April 2022

Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 11 April 2022:

  • 37 New Cases (All local) and 3 Deaths were reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases falls to 57 from 64 (yesterday).
  • Vaccination Update: 12 250 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 5 730 327,1 130 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 597 602 while 4 961 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 539 837.
  • As of 10 April 2022, @1500hrs there were (18) hospitalized cases: New Admissions (1), Asymptomatic (0), mild to moderate (12), severe (0) and (6) in Intensive Care Units. 4 of the 18 hospitalized were vaccinated and 14 were not vaccinated.
  • 2125 tests done today (Positivity today was 1.7%)
  • 157 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 97% & Active cases go down to 1054
  • As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 247 010 Cases 240 496 recoveries & 5 460 Deaths.
