PREAMBLE
Thunderstorms and rain showers occurred across much of the country yesterday, culminating in the following noteworthy rainfalls: 58mm (Nyakomba Agritex), 54mm (Harare Sourtherton), 52mm (Chivhu), 50mm (Wedza), 35mm (Nyazura Rail) and 17mm (Kwekwe).
This was due to a generally north-easterly airflow. However, relatively moist and cool winds from the southeast coast of Southern Africa are slowly strengthening.
FORECAST FOR TOMORROW, THURSDAY 07 APRIL 2022
Manicaland, Harare Metropolitan, northern parts of Midlands, northern districts of Matabeleland North and all Mashonaland Provinces should be humid and warm with mostly cloudy conditions and isolated thunderstorms.
Sunny conditions are anticipated in southern areas of Midlands, Matabeleland South, the southern parts of Matabeleland North, Bulawayo Metropolitan and Masvingo Provinces, starting off mild and becoming hot by afternoon.

OUTLOOK: WEATHER FORECAST FOR FRIDAY 08 APRIL 2022
Mostly cloudy and warm conditions with isolated thunderstorms are expected in areas: Harare Metropolitan, and all Mashonaland provinces.
Bulawayo Metropolitan, Matabeleland South, Masvingo, and Manicaland Provinces should be cloudy, windy and mild with light rain and drizzle. Localized downpours remain probable, especially over high ground.
Matabeleland North is anticipated to be mostly sunny and hot. Brief cloudy periods and an odd thunderstorm remain probable due to pockets of moisture.
