Cement-manufacturing firm, Lafarge Cement Zimbabwe (Limited), has advised shareholders and the public that an investor has placed an offer for 76.45% of the company’s shareholding.
In a statement, Faithful Sithole, the Company Secretary said if the transaction is successfully concluded, it will have an impact on Lafarge Cement Zimbabwe’s securities. Read the statement:
Further to the cautionary announcement dated 8 March 2022, shareholders and members of the investing public are advised that Associated International Cement Limited has received certain offers for its 76.45% stake in the Company.
The transaction, if successfully concluded, may have a material effect on the Company’s securities.
Accordingly, shareholders and members of the investing public are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the Company’s securities until a full announcement is made.
Why don’t they want to tell you who is bidding for 76% of the Company? Russians, Chinese or Tigwarei???
