Bulawayo Chiefs Sack Assistant Coaches

Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Bulawayo Chiefs have sacked assistant coaches Mark Mathe and Farai Tawachera.

In a statement, the club’s secretary-general Dumisani Mantula Sibanda said Thulani Sibanda returns to the club to join the technical team. Read the statement:

We would like to announce that the Team has mutually agreed to part ways with Assistant Coaches Mark Mathe and Farai Tawachera with immediate effect.

We wish the coaches well in their next challenges and we strongly appreciate their duties and contributions in the team.

Coach Thulani “Toots” Sibanda returns to the team to join the Technical team that will continue to be led by Coach Nilton Terrosso.

Head coach Nilton Terroso is reported to be attending a UEFA Pro coaching course in his native Portugal.

The sacking of Mathe and Tawachera follows a string of poor results, with the latest being a 1-2 away loss to Black Rhinos at Sakubva Stadium in Mutare over the weekend.
