Zimbabwe Coronavirus / COVID-19 Update: 25 March 2022

Zimbabwe first recorded Coronavirus cases in March 2020. Since then, thousands of people have been diagnosed with respiratory disease, thousands have died and also thousands have recovered. Pindula News presents an update issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 25 March 2022:

• 178 New Cases (All local) and 2 Deaths were reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases falls to 190 from 208 (yesterday). 22 of the new cases reported today are from outbreaks detected from schools in Mash West. (11), Bulawayo (9) and Manicoland (2).

• Vaccination Update: 109 862 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 810 690, 11 597 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 470 461 while 17 754 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3 rd. dose to 234 786.

• Today we are happy to report that 109 862 people county-wide received their 1″ Dose bringing the cumulative doses to 4 810 690.

• As of 24 March 2022, @1500hrs there were (36) hospitalized cases: New Admissions (1), Asymptomatic (4), mild to moderate (31), severe (1) and (0) in Intensive Care Units, 13 of the 36 hospitalized were vaccinated and 23 were not vaccinated.
