Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 22 March 2022:
- 236 New Cases (All local) and 0 Death reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases falls to 221 from 228 (yesterday). 21 of the new cases reported today are from outbreaks detected from schools in Bulawayo (2) and Manicaland (16)
- Vaccination Update: 85 775 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 585 820, 5 062 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 452 864 while 10 169 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 200 088.
- Today we are happy to report that 85 775 people county-wide received their 1st Dose bringing the cumulative doses to 4 585 820.
- As of 22 March 2022, @1500hrs there were (33) hospitalized cases: New Admissions (4), Asymptomatic (3), mild to moderate (29), severe (1) and (0) in Intensive Care Units. 16 of the 33 hospitalized were vaccinated and 17 were not vaccinated.
- 4 025 tests done today (Positivity today was 6.1%)
- 412 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 96% & Active cases go down 4 257.
- As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 245 194 Cases 235 505 recoveries & 5 432 Deaths.
