Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 18 March 2022:
- 306 New Cases (All local) and 3 Deaths were reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases falls to 321 from 352 (yesterday). 42 of the new cases reported today are from outbreaks detected from schools in Mash West (25), Manicaland (13) and Mash Cent (4).
- Vaccination Update: 3 580 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 412 986, 2 633 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 439941 while 4 000 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 175 954.
- As of 17 March 2022, 1500hrs there were (62) hospitalized cases: New Admissions (5), Asymptomatic (5), mild to moderate (52), severe (5) and (0) in Intensive Care Units. 16 of the 62 hospitalized were vaccinated and 46 were not vaccinated.
- 3 728 tests done today (Positivity today was 8.2%)
- 412 new recoveries: National Recovery rate goes up 96% & Active cases go down 5 022
- As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 244 318 Cases 233 873 recoveries & 5 423 Deaths.
