WATCH: Zimbabwean National In Diaspora Proposes US$50 “Tax” On Diasporans

Hannah Mutsenhu, a Zimbabwean who claims to have been based in the United Arab Emirates for six years, has asked President Emmerson Mnangagwa to consider introducing a mandatory fee, of say US$50, to be paid by every diasporan who arrives back home.

She said the contribution will go a long way in transforming the Southern African country.

Her remarks have attracted criticism from various quarters. Some were sceptical that she resides in the United Arab Emirates suggesting she is a ZANU PF implant influenced to speak on behalf of Zimbabweans residing abroad. Watch the video below for more:

Some are of the view that Zimbabweans abroad must not be forced to pay anything especially when the government is failing or refusing to ensure diaspora vote.

  1. Hannah Mutsenhu is of course a sellout a ZANU PF implant claiming to be a diaspora. Imagine true diaspora feed Zimbabwe and you tell me that a government that does nothing for its citizens can also greedily benefit from the people they oppress? Hannah is clearly a beneficiary of the corruption at home by ZANU PF. Thank God we have discovered her. Tell me what exactly is she doing in Dubai? This is not the first time ZANU PF have tried this trick. This she must remember. She disguised herself by wearing what appeared to be an opposition regalia. That was all part of ZANU PF plan
