Workers Protest As SAA Plans To Retrench Over 200 Workers
South African Airways (SAA) unions say the airline is firing over 200 staff members.
Some 225 staff members will reportedly be let go by the end-March.

Members of the South African Cabin Crew Association (SACCA) and the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) picketed at the Public Enterprises Department in Pretoria on Tuesday over alleged corruption at SAA.

They marched on Public Entreprises Department offices in Johannesburg demanding better working conditions.
They say their grievances have so far been ignored by authorities.
SAA workers have been embarking on periodic protests since 2019.
