WATCH: “ZIMSEC Exam Markers Protest After Death Of Colleague”

Job Sikhala, the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) Vice National Chairman, Human Rights Lawyer and MP for Zengeza West, has posted a video on Twitter claiming that teachers (in the video) were protesting after the death of their colleague in Masvingo. 

Sikhala said the deceased succumbed to stress which he attributes to ZIMSEC’s non-payment of the teachers ZW$20 000 allowances for marking Ordinary Level (O’ Level) examinations. Sikhala said:

Examination markers in Masvingo singing denouncing the govt after the death of one of their members coz of stress after non-payment of their 20 000 rtgs allowances as they down tools too. In Bulawayo riot police deployed at Bulawayo Polytechnic to force teachers to mark Exams.
