CeSHHAR is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced individual to fill the above-mentioned post under a project that will be implemented within the Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) group of studies. The specific project where this vacancy has fallen is aimed at evaluating different ways of providing COVID-19 testing services, including use of rapid antigen tests for COVID-19 self-testing. The evaluation entails analysis of data from specific programmes that implement COVID-19 testing services and qualitative research among individuals who interact with the programmes.
Working as part of a team, the Research Fellow will be responsible for overseeing study conduct, data analysis and publication of results.
Qualifications and experience
A PhD in Epidemiology, Public Health or related fields;
At least two years’ experience conducting health-related research;
Demonstrable appreciation / experience with study designs commonly used in implementation research;
Ability to conduct, at the least, basic statistical analyses using statistical software;
Evidence of contributing to peer-reviewed journal articles, with evidence of lead authorship an added advantage;
Ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively as part of a research team;
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
Project management experience, including managing research teams; Computer competency particularly with Microsoft Office packages;
Ability to work with people from various socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.

Roles and responsibilities

Finance Assistant: Education Coalition of Zimbabwe (ECOZI)

The Finance Assistant is needed to provide finance and administrative support services. His / Her duties shall include:
Receiving all requests for payments and activities and ensuring that there is proper documentation supporting the requests before passing it on to the Finance Officer for review; Working closely with the programs team and provide guidance in its spending and activity planning, supporting them with event arrangements; Handle and maintain an efficient filing system of key documents (reports, projects activity documents, receipts, etc) ensuring the confidentiality and security of documents; Assist in data capturing, preparation of disbursement requests and inventory management; Scheduling and organizing weekly staff meetings, receiving and filing weekly meeting minutes; Assist in the logistics needs of all staff pertaining to all travel; Shall be responsible for receiving activity acquittals, ensuring that all activity receipts and activity reports are attached; Shall be responsible for managing staff timesheets; Workflow management (i.e advising on work/activities completed and work / activities pending); Filing of statutory documents with ZIMRA and NSSA and ensure that the organization is up to date with statutory obligations. Ensure that all financial transactions are carried out and recorded in accordance with accounting standards and in line with the organization’s procedure and policies; Prepare and share monthly monitoring report (expenses vs budget) to Management as per set deadlines; Assist management and stakeholders in budgeting and budget realignment; Review monthly/donor reports with relevant managers and point out areas with financial risks in line with donor conditions for managers to take proactive corrective action; Preparation of various supporting schedules to the financial statements to facilitate annual and periodical audits; Preparations of the payroll journal and monthly reconciliation of the payroll control code; Cashflow management and bank reconciliations; Support in Payroll administration and all human resources issues as may be required. Any other relevant duties as may be required by management.
The ideal candidate should possess a degree in accounting or any accounting qualification like ACCA, CIMA, and experience on NGO finance department is required;

Relief Drivers: Zimbabwe Technical Assistance, Training and Education Center for Health (Zim-TTECH)

About the organization
Zim-TTECH is seeking highly qualified and experienced applicants to fill the positions of Relief Driver. The positions will be based in the following Provinces: Matabeleland North, Mashonaland West, Mashonaland East, Mashonaland Central and Harare. Zim-TTECH’s activities occur primarily in the technical areas of health system strengthening; health workforce development; operations research and evaluation; prevention, care, and treatment of infectious diseases. Zim-TTECH is funded by PEPFAR through the Center for Disease Control to implement HIV & TB treatment and care services in five Zimbabwean provinces in support of the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) under the Zim-PAAC (Zimbabwe Partnership to Accelerate AIDS Control) program. Zim-TTECH is implementing the DREAMS program in four districts in Matebeleland North province. Zim-TTECH also supports Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) services in Zimbabwe.
The position exists to provide relief support to the program teams in the provinces and districts. The successful candidates will report dually to the District Focal Persons and the Logistics Officer.
Provide reliable and safe driving services to program and other authorized personnel as directed; Ensure cost-savings through proper use of vehicles and accurate maintenance of daily vehicle logs and any other documentation as required; Request fuel and cash travel advances. Maintain the assigned vehicle through vehicle checks before the first trip and cleaning of the vehicle’s interior and exterior; Take note of any faults that may develop on the vehicle and bring them to the attention of the Logistics Department as soon as observed; Arrange for the planned vehicle maintenance, minor and major vehicle service and repairs and inspect the vehicle before and after service; Ensure that all immediate actions required by local rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accidents and report all road traffic accidents or thefts to the police and inform the supervisor and Logistics Department immediately; Follow the Zimbabwe road rules, including adhering to speed limits and the carrying of a valid driver’s license at all times; Uphold the nonsmoking policy in the organization’s vehicle and ensure that passengers do not smoke inside the vehicle; Maintain all assigned vehicle related documents; Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications, skills and experience
Minimum of 5 O level passes including English; Clean class 4 driver’s license (Class 2 license will be an added advantage); Valid defensive driver`s license is a must; A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role; Fluency in English; Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance desirable and of the country’s roads and routes.
