Here is South Africa’s Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update issued by the Department of Health RSA on 09 February 2022:

• 39 376 tests were conducted in the last 24hrs bringing the total to 22 555 062.
• 2 824 new cases.
• Total cases recorded as of 9 February 2022: 3 631 642.
• The Department of Health RSA reported 213 deaths bringing total fatalities to 96 502 to date.
• Active cases: 43 514.
• Recovery rate: 96.1%.
• Vaccines administered so far: 30 397 806
