Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 31 January 2022:
• 206 New Cases (All local) and 1 Death reported today. (7-day rolling overage* for new cases falls to 160 from 172 (yesterday).
• Vaccination Update: 2 933 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 270 483; 3 260 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 299 628 while 1 077 received they 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 56 458.
• As of 30 January 2022, @1500hrs there were 45 hospitalised cases: New Admissions (17), Asymptomatic 5, mild to moderate 32, severe 4 and 4 in intensive Core Units.
• 3 653 tests done today (Positivity today was 6%)
• 1081 new recoveries. National Recovery rate remains at 95% & Active cases go down 4914
• As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 229 666 Cases; 219 414 recoveries & 5 338 Deaths.
