Legendary Musician Zex Manatsa Has Died, Aged 78

Legendary musician, Zex Manatsa, has died aged 78.

Manatsa’s death was announced by his family via his Facebook page on Thursday afternoon. The post read:

With great sadness, we would like to let everyone know that our Father, Our Legend, Pastor and Sekuru Zexie Manatsa, has succumbed to cancer. May his dear soul rest in peace. 01/01/44-20/01/2022.

On Christmas Day last year, Manatswa said he has been discharged from a local hospital where he was undergoing treatment for cancer. He wrote in a Facebook post:

A Very Merry Christmas! I am happy to be back home with my wife, children and grandchildren this morning on Christmas Day.

I AM BLESSED! I want to thank my children for taking care of all my medical bills. I also want to say thank you so much to everyone that sent me messages of support, love and prayer while I was in the hospital.
