Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Update 31 December 2021

Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 31 December 2021:
- 1 530 New Cases (All local) and 7 Deaths were reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases goes up to 1 503 from 1 483 (yesterday).
- Vaccination Update: 5 467 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 124 102, 5 352 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 135 175 while 273 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3 rd dose to 5 195.
- As of 30 December 2021, 1500hrs there were 336 hospitalised cases: New Admissions (20), Asymptomatic 40, mild to moderate 236, severe 57 and 3 in Intensive Care Units.
- 6 152 tests done today (Positivity today was 24.9%)
- 2 238 new recoveries: National Recovery rate rises to 85% & Active cases go down 27 684.
- As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 213 258 Cases 180 570 recoveries & 5 004 Deaths.
