Premier League: Best Bets For Weekend Games

With Christmas getting closer, the premier league games are coming thick and fast. This is sometimes great for teams, allowing them to build positive momentum with a good run of form, while others crack under the pressure of so many matches in quick succession. All of this makes a great time for sports gambling, with soccer odds betting one of the most lucrative areas. Here are the weekend’s games and what we think could be a great weekend for betting.

Manchester United Vs Brighton

The first game to kick off over the weekend is the early 12:30 match between Manchester United and Brighton. In the last five games, both teams have only felt one away loss, and while this sounds great on paper, Brighton has failed to secure a win in those remaining four matches, drawing in them all. On the other hand, United has seen a better run of form, winning their last three games, and with home advantage, they look set to secure their fourth premier league win without Ole at the helm.

Aston Villa vs Burnley

The newly managed Aston Villa are seeing a boost of morale from their recent performances, and while they have lost 2 in their last 5, it was against the teams sitting first and second in the league. On the other hand, Burnley has failed to win any games in their last five matches, earning only 4 points out of a possible 15. The previous head-to-head matches between these teams have seen them victorious twice and nothing to split the two in the remaining four games. Home advantage and a run of form are looking at Aston Villa taking the 3 points this weekend, but there could be a spanner in the works.

Leeds Vs Arsenal

Saturday’s final game is between Leeds and Arsenal. Both teams are seeing a lull in form, but Leeds will bounce back from their embarrassing display against Manchester City resulting in a 7-0 defeat. Arteta’s vision for Arsenal is dividing the fans, and while the team has been seeing a few more victories, they have failed to win three matches in their last five, only earning 6 points in total.

Everton Vs Leicester

Sunday’s early kick lunchtime match sees Everton face Leicester. Everton has found themselves in a bit of a slump when it comes to winning matches, losing four times in their last five games, only beating Arsenal at home 2-1. Everton has not been beaten out of the previous three games between the two teams, winning both home and away. Brenden Rogers’ Leicester will be looking to stay on winning form after their last match against Newcastle, a match resulting in a 4-0 victory. We believe Leicester will take the 3 points, but the home crowd advantage of the Toffees could see some upset.

Chelsea Vs Wolves

Sunday sees the top 3 teams in the table play, all looking to overtake one another. Chelsea is away at Wolves, but that doesn’t look like it will bother them all that much. They have only lost 1 of the last five games played, and with 38 goals scored, and only 11 conceded all season, they are looking like a force to be reckoned with. On the other hand, the Wolves have seen more goals scored against them than they have scored themselves, which doesn’t look great for the Wanderers.

Newcastle Vs Manchester City

Top of the league Manchester City travel to the Toon this Sunday to face bottom of the league Newcastle for what is expected to be a routine win for Pep’s Cityzens. Their 7-0 victory over Leeds will have instilled motivation and confidence in the players. Pep is a lover of team rotation, and the entire squad seems to follow and believe his philosophy gives them the momentum and strength we have seen for so many recent seasons. Although Newcastle has received the news of a financial takeover, nothing has been done in terms of positivity. Saint-Maximin is always one to watch, no matter how good this City side is.

Spurs Vs Liverpool

Jurgen Klopps’ Liverpool goes into Sunday’s game in good stride. They are currently sitting second in the league, just 1 point behind Manchester City. Furthermore, they have won their last five games in the premier league, won all of the Champions League group stage games, and defeated Spurs in the previous three times the two teams have faced one another. These statistics together look like a secure bet if you want to place your money down on this match, although Spurs are not going to lay down and take any punishment. This being said, the special form of Mohammed Salah doesn’t seem to be hiding away any time soon, and he will surely have a positive impact on the game.
