Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 19 December 2021:
- 1 123 New Cases (All local) and 5 Deaths were reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases goes down to 3 665 from 3 810 (yesterday).
- Vaccination Update: 6 146 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 053 889 while 5 592 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 069 526 as at 1600 hrs.
- As of 18 December 2021, @1500hrs there were 296 hospitalised cases: New Admissions (24), Asymptomatic 36, mild to moderate 217, severe 39 and 4 in Intensive Care Units.
- 3 273 tests done today (Positivity today was 34.3%)
- 2 642 new recoveries: National Recovery rate falls to 74% & Active cases go down 49 612.
- As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 192 796 Cases 138 397 recoveries & 4 787 Deaths.
