Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 18 December 2021:
- 2 106 New Cases (All local) and 3 Deaths were reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases goes down to 3 810 from 3 938 (yesterday).
- Vaccination Update: 9 276 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 047 743 while 10 279 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 063 934 as at 1600 hrs.
- As of 17 December 2021, @1500hrs there were 416 hospitalised cases: New Admissions (61), Asymptomatic 50, mild to moderate 328, severe 37 and 1 in Intensive Care Units.
- 5 430 tests done today (Positivity today was 38.8%)
- 1 674 new recoveries: National Recovery rate falls to 72% & Active cases go up 51 136.
- As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 191 673 Cases 1351 755 recoveries & 4 782 Deaths.
