The Memorial Service of the late former Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Dr Sibusiso B Moyo was held this Saturday in his home district, Mberengwa.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa attended the ceremony held at Masvingo School in Maravuka Village, Mberengwa. In his speech, the president said:
I exhort our young people to take leaf from the sacrifices made by the likes of the late Cde SB Moyo and others like him to liberate this country. I call upon the youth to love and hold in high regard their country, communities and families.
Mnangagwa also planted a tree at Masvingo Primary School in Mberengwa.
Vice President Constantino Chiwenga was also in attendance.
Moyo, a former military boss and freedom fighter, succumbed to COVID-19 last year.
He was declared a national hero and was buried at the National Heroes Acre in Harare.
