RBZ: Reserve Money Update As At 12 November 2021

The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe has said reserve money decreased by ZW$3.91 billion during the week ending 12th November 2021, compared to the previous week’s position of ZW$28.27 billion. Pindula News presents the central bank’s update:

RESERVE MONEY

1. Reserve money decreased by ZW$12.07 million to ZW$28.26 billion during the week ending 12th November 2021, compared to the previous week’s position of ZW$28.27 billion.

2. The fall in reserve money was attributable to declines of ZW$61.95 million and ZW$18.29 million in the currency issued and banks’ liquidity (RTGS balances) at the Reserve Bank, respectively. Partially offsetting the decrease was an increase of ZW$68.17 million in required reserves.
