The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has said it is probing murder cases reported in Hwange, Concession, Binga, Gokwe and Zvishavane recently. Police urged members of the public to resolve disputes amicably. Pindula News presents a statement by the police.
MURDER CASES IN HWANGE, BINGA, CONCESSION, GOKWE AND ZVISHAVANE
The Zimbabwe Republic Police is investigating various murder cases which were reported countrywide. It is sad to note that some of the perpetrators are people who would have been left in custody of the victims while other cases are arising out of disputes which can be resolved through dialogue and engagement by the concerned parties.

In Hwange, a 3-year-old male juvenile was left in custody of his stepfather, Nkatazo Penga (38) while the mother, Estere Tembo (40), visited a family field at Nekatambe village Dete, on 5th September 2021. The minor was later found dead with bruises and assault marks all over the body. Police arrested the suspect who was found carrying an axe.
In a related case which occurred in Binga, a man, Mapei Dhongola hit the victim, Miccah Mudenda (34) with a stone on the head after the victim restrained the suspect from assaulting people for an unknown reason at Siachilaba Business Centre on 03rd October 2021. The victim was referred to Siansundu Clinic where he died upon arrival.
