Dhlakama To Give Youngsters More Opportunities

Ngezi Platinum Stars coach Rodwell Dhlakama said that he will play youngsters more often in future matches following impressive performances by Arter Kaseke (16) and another teenager, Tendai Matindife, in the ongoing Chibuku Super Cup tournament.

Dhlakama’s side became the first team, in the Chibuku Super Cup, to play a 16-year old when he introduced Kaseke in last weekend’s 5-1 win over Whawha.

Kaseke came in as Marlon Mushonga’s replacement with 20 minutes still on the clock and partnered Polite Moyo at the heart of the defence. Said Dhlakama:

With how these guys have been performing, I think I will have to introduce more teenagers in the team going forward.

I have been using Matindife mostly though in bit-part roles and Kaseke’s top-notch performance has given me further belief in the abilities of these youngsters.

I have plenty of them in my change-room. MacDonald Makuwe has also been very much impressive and he has also scored an important goal so far in the campaign.

I will introduce more young players, fusing them with the experienced guys and I am sure the end product will be up there.

Ngezi Platinum Stars lead Group 4 standings with 13 points to their name, three ahead of second-placed FC Platinum with the last round clash between the two set to decide group winners.

Triangle are a distant third with three points, two above Whahwa who are bottom of the table on a single point
