President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Wednesday appointed Dr Evelyn Ndlovu as the new Minister of Primary and Secondary Education replacing Ambassador Cain Mathema who was appointed Minister without portfolio.
Below are two things you probably did not know about Dr Ndlovu:
(1) She is a former Minister of State in Vice President Chiwenga’s office.
(2) She is Bulilima proportional representation legislator. Bulilima is in Matebeleland South Province which covers the southeastern plateau of Zimbabwe and it stretches to the Botswana border on the east and borders South Africa on the South.
(3) Dr Ndlovu has served as senior civil servant before she was appointed Minister of State in Vice President Chiwenga’s office before her latest appointment.
A statement issued by Dr Misheck Sibanda, the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, says her appointment to the MoPSE is effective from the 30th of September.
