Couple Robbed Of US$32k Company Cash
A couple was on Tuesday robbed of US$32 078 cash by a group of four armed robbers who were armed with machetes and an unidentified pistol.
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the robbery incident occurred at the 15 km peg along Harare- Bulawayo Road.
The couple had been sent to Bulawayo by a Harare based company to collect the money from a sister company in Belmont and was robbed on their return to Harare. ZRP said in a statement:
Police in Bulawayo are investigating circumstances surrounding an armed robbery case that occurred on 07/09/21 at the 15 km peg along Harare- Bulawayo Road.
Four suspects, who were armed with machetes and an unidentified pistol, robbed a couple of US$32 078 cash.

The couple was travelling to Harare after being sent by a Harare based company to collect the money from a sister company in Belmont, Bulawayo.
Police in Harare are also appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of five suspected armed robbers who pounced on a Kuwadzana and robbed her of a Honda CRV registration number ADW9111, plasma television, cellphones, blankets and various groceries.
The robbery incident took place on Wednesday, 8 September 2021.
