Cristiano Ronaldo Has Rejoined Manchester United

Manchester United have completed the move to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus on a permanent move.

Cristiano has accepted the contract proposal from Manchester United and his medical examinations are to be scheduled soon.

There have been rumours about his future in recent reports after it had appeared the Portuguese international was not happy in Turin while Juve were reportedly keen to get rid of his huge wages.

Manchester City were reportedly keen on signing the former Real Madrid player.

This season, Manchester United have also signed on Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, and are also keen to retain  Pail Pogba who has been linked with a move to Paris Saint Germain.

United have released the following statement on the return of Cristiano Ronaldo:

Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical.

Cristiano, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, has so far won over 30 major trophies during his career, including five UEFA Champions League titles, four FIFA Club World Cups, seven league titles in “England, Spain and Italy, and the European Championship for his native Portugal.

In his first spell for Manchester United, he scored 118 goals in 292 games.

Everyone at the club looks forward to welcoming Cristiano back to Manchester.

Manchester United have agreed on a transfer fee in the region of €28million to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo 12 years after he left the club.

The Manchester Evening News reports Juventus still owe money on the €100m fee they agreed to sign Ronaldo for in 2018 and want it covered by United. The deal has been described by sources privy to negotiations as ‘amortised’.
