COVID-19: Nurse Arrested For Issuing Cards To Unvaccinated People

A nurse at Marondera General Hospital was this week arrested on allegations of issuing COVID-19 vaccination cards to unvaccinated people.

Kenneth Kunaka (35), was arrested on Sunday and a subsequent search at his home by police officers yielded an assortment of medicinal drugs and equipment for which he could not give a satisfactory explanation.

National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said investigations into the matter were in progress. He said:

On 22/08/21 Police in Marondera arrested Kenneth Kuneka (35) of Marondera General Hospital for issuing out COVID-19 vaccination cards to unvaccinated people.

The arrest led to the recovery of an assortment of medicinal drugs and equipment at the suspect’s home. Investigations are in progress.
