Zambia Elections: Presidential Candidate Concedes Defeat

Opposition Patriots for Economic Progress (PEP) President Shone Tembo has conceded defeat in the August 12th Election. He has since called upon President Edgar Lungu to provide state security to “new incoming president” Hakainde Hichilema. Tembo said president Lungu should not wait for the official release of results. Hichilema has also posted on Twitter saying he was poised for victory in an election described by incumbent president Lungu as not free and fair. Watch the video below for more details.
