Condolence Message by His Excellency the President, Cde E.D. Mnangagwa, following the death of Mrs Angela Haritatos, Mother to the Honourable Deputy Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Resettlement, Vangelis Haritatos, Harare, 29 July 2021
I am deeply shocked by the passing on yesterday of Mrs Angela Haritatos, mother of our Honourable Deputy Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Resettlement, Vangelis Haritatos.
It was only 18 days ago that our Deputy Minister lost his father, our liberation hero, Mr Peter Haritatos.
While the loss alone of his father was a very painful and heartbreaking experience for him and his family, losing their mother before they have recovered from their father’s demise, must be equally heart wrenching and devastating for our Deputy Minister and the Haritatos family.
On behalf of the Party, ZANU PF, Government, my family, and indeed, on my own behalf, I wish to express my deepest condolences to the Haritatos family, especially to the Honourable Deputy Minister Vangelis Haritatos, for the loss of their dear mother, Angela.
May they derive comfort from the knowledge that the Nation shares their pain and sorrow during this their darkest hour of grief and double tragedy.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
