RGM Airport Manager Succumbs To COVID-19 Plunging Staff Into Panic Mode
Staff at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International is reportedly in panic mode after airport manager Margaret Samkange succumbed to Covid-19 Wednesday afternoon.
Fears abound that Samkange’s death will result in disruptions as other workers might have come into contact with her in recent days.
It is a normal procedure that people who get into contact with Covid-19 infected persons should go under quarantine.
Samkange died at her home in Glaudina.
Her death comes as Zimbabwe is grappling with a third wave of the coronavirus pandemic that is reportedly being worsened by the highly contagious Delta variant that was first detected in India.

The Ministry of Health and Child Care on Tuesday reported that the country had recorded a total of 107 deaths, albeit 47 of them were spread between the 23rd and the 26th of July.
Since March last year when the first case was recorded in Zimbabwe, 3 280 people have succumbed to the novel virus, according to the MoHCC reports.
