ZIMBABWE EVENING WEATHER REPORT AND FORECAST ISSUED AT 1600 HRS ON MONDAY 26 JULY 2021 VALID UNTIL WEDNESDAY 28 JULY 2021.

PREAMBLE

Cold morning conditions were predominant over most parts of the country with brief cloudy periods over southern areas of Midlands, Masvingo, Manicaland, Harare Metropolitan and Mashonaland East Provinces. Slight ground frost occurred this morning at Karoi, Henderson, Bulawayo metropolitan, Matopos, Kezi and West Nicholson. Meanwhile, the atmosphere is slowly becoming less humid under the influence of a light south-easterly breeze.

FORECAST FOR TOMORROW TUESDAY 27 JULY 2021

It should be partly cloudy and cold over Masvingo Manicaland and southern parts of Mashonaland East Province, becoming less cloudy and mild in the afternoon. Mostly sunny and mild conditions are expected in Matabeleland North, Matabeleland South, Bulawayo metropolitan, Midlands, Harare Metropolitan, and all Mashonaland Provinces with a freshening breeze though cold in the morning.

IMPACTS

• Low temperatures, especially in the early hours of the morning and towards evening have negative impacts on poultry.

• Cold conditions overnight negatively impact vulnerable persons (e.g. the very young. elderly or ill). with abrupt fall in temperatures increasing the risk of respiratory illnesses such as coughs and colds as well as asthma attacks.

• Monitor the temperature inside fowl-runs and adjust according. Always ensure the room is well ventilated.
