COVID-19: Beitbridge Has Immediately Suspended Some Services

Beitbridge Municipality has with immediate effect suspended selected services, including physical enquiries, building plan submissions, and building inspections to curb Covid-19 in the border town.

The local government authority announced the development in a public notice issued on Friday which also noted that the suspension of the services will run for the next two weeks.

The development comes shortly amid a surge in new COVID-19 infections in Beitbridge. Said the Municipality:

Revenue-related services will remain open for the next two weeks and general enquiries can be done over the phone or our various social media platforms.

However, those accessing such a service will be subjected to strict Covid-19 screening protocols.
