Harare Man In Court After Using Nudes To Blackmail Married Ex-lover
A Harare man has appeared in court after he allegedly solicited sex from a married woman while threatening to expose nude photos.
Loveson Mbengeranwa (25) of Mt Pleasant suburb tried to blackmail his ex-girlfriend into being intimate with him using her nude pictures from 11 years ago.
He was granted $3 000 bail when he appeared before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi facing a rape charge.
Mbengeranwa was also ordered to report twice weekly at Marlborough police station and also to surrender his passport and stay at his given residential address.
The court heard that sometime last year Mbengeranwa asked to be intimate with the complainant who agreed after being threatened with the release of her nude pictures. The two went on to be intimate.

While having sexual intercourse, the accused person took some nude pictures and kept the pictures on his cellphone.
When the accused then asked for sex for the second time, it is alleged that the complainant turned him down and asked him to do as he wished with the pictures.
Mbengeranwa then allegedly threatened to kill the complainant’s husband and her children if she refused to be intimate with him.
The court heard that Mbengeranwa then created a WhatsApp group and added the complainant’s husband and his workmates, before sharing the nude pictures in the group.
On seeing the pictures, the complainant filed a police report leading to Mbengeranwa’s arrest.
