WATCH: Malawi President Announces Firing, Arrests Over COVID-19 Funds

In a televised address on Sunday, the President of Malawi, Lazarus Chakwera announced the firing of labour minister Ken Kandodo over the misuse of COVID-19 funds. He also said several officials had been arrested. Chakwera said an audit had shown that about $7.95 million had vanished, been misused and left idle.
