Zimbabwean Man Stabs 3-Year-Old Son To Death In Domestic Dispute

A South Africa-based Zimbabwean man has appeared in a South African court over allegations that he stabbed his 3-year-old son to death following a domestic dispute with his wife.

Limpopo province police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said the accused, Dzingirai Tapera (27) of Zaka, who is a migrant worker at Buiver Lodge Farm, allegedly used a pair of scissors to stab the toddler on the neck.

Tapera appeared at the Tzaneen Magistrates Court on April 13 2021 facing a murder charge.

It is alleged that Tapera had a misunderstanding with his wife Rejoice Dzingirai who then threatened that she was leaving him and return to Zimbabwe.

Tapera reportedly left his workplace and went home where he allegedly stabbed the now-deceased 3-year-old boy.

His wife then reported the matter to the police, leading to his arrest.
