JUST IN: 122 Students Test Positive For Coronavirus At One School
About 122 students from St David’s Bonda High School in Manicaland province tested positive for coronavirus this Saturday, a day after 97 infections were recorded at another school in Matabeleland South.
The Ministry of Health and Child Care announced the development in a Coronavirus daily update that also indicated that the country had recorded 165 coronavirus cases.
The update also indicated that Zimbabwe had recorded one COVID-19 death while 34 cases were hospitalised.
Among the 34 hospitalised, 25 were said to be in a moderate state, 7 in a severe state while 2 are said to be in Intensive Care Units.
The death that was reported from Manicaland Province brings the total officially reported deaths to 1552.

The government barred students from travelling home during this year’s Independence holidays as a measure to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
The development comes amid fears that the country might experience a third wave of the novel virus due to complacence.
