Harare Acting Mayor Sends Independence Message

Harare Acting Mayor, Councillor (Cllr) Stewart Mutizwa, has sent an independence message to residents saying they will push towards the attainment of a World-class city status by 2025.

The MDC Alliance Councillor added that the local government authority’s vision was aligned to the nation’s vision 2030. Reads the message:

Harare Acting Mayor Cllr Stewart Mutizwa, councillors, management and staff join His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa and the nation in celebrating 41 years of National Independence.

We promise to take advantage of our strategic position as the Capital of Zimbabwe to grow our local economy through sound and viable economic policies as we strive to build a world class city by 2025 in line with the Government’s vision of attaining a middle class economy by 2030.
