Opposition MDC Alliance leader, Nelson Chamisa has workers should reject salaries paid in the local currency urging them to say no to “slave wages.”
His remarks come when workers have resolved to report for duty only three days per week saying they were incapacitated to report every day.
Posting on microblogging and social networking site, Twitter, this Monday, Chamisa said:

Workers are demanding that the government restores their 2018 salaries when the majority of workers earned about USD500.
Meanwhile, the state’s offer to gradually raise the salaries was rejected when the employer met with workers’ representatives recently.
The government also said it will strictly monitor workers’ attendance at work after reports that some teachers are already reporting for work only three days out of five per week.
