Auxillia Mnangagwa's Biker Crashes And Dies In Motorcade Accident

First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa’s executive escort motorbike outrider (name withheld) died on the spot in an accident on Good Friday. The biker was in a head-on collision with an oncoming Toyota Altezza vehicle.

The fatal accident occurred as Auxillia Mnangagwa was on her way to Harare from Mhangura where she had visited to make a donation. Sources who spoke to NewZimbabwe.com on condition of anonymity said the unnamed biker sustained serious injuries. The sources said the fatal accident occurred at a spot popularly known as ‘PaJones’ which is between Lion’s Den and Chinhoyi late afternoon on Good Friday.

By the time of publishing national police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi told the publication that he was yet to receive any report of the accident. When contacted for comment Mashonaland West police spokesperson, Inspector Margaret Chitove also said she had not heard any reports of the accident.

In April last year, Auxillia Mnangagwa’s motorcade was involved in a fatal accident in Mavhuradonha, Mt Darwin district, Mashonaland Central province. The accident claimed the life of her close aide Albert Vunganai and left three other security personnel injured. The accident occurred when a driver who was driving one of the cars constituting the motorcade attempted to avoid hitting the First Lady’s vehicle which was immediately in front of him. The car developed breaking problems.
