Zimbabwe Records 6 COVID-19 Deaths In 1 Week

Zimbabwe has for the past 7 days recorded 6 COVID-19 deaths. Yesterday 29 March 2021, Zimbabwe recorded 0 COVID-19 deaths and 17 people tested positive for COVID-19. This is contained in the updates that are posted by the Ministry of Health and Child Care that gave the following statistics:

• 24 March 2021 – 0
• 25 March 2021 – 2
• 26 March 2021 – 0
• 27 March 2021 – 1
• 28 March 2021 – 1
• 29 March 2021 – 0

The same update also showed that COVID-19 hospitalised cases increased by 11 cases from 22 cases on 27 March to 33 in 24 hours.  Said the ministry in the update:

As of 28 March 2021 @1500 hours, there were 33 hospitalised cases. Assymptomatic 2, mild to moderate 15, severe 13 and 2 in intensive care units. (50% of reporting Units did not report)

Meanwhile yesterday Zimbabwe took delivery of the first consignment of the COVAXIN COVID-19 vaccine developed in India.
