Nike Sues Maker Of Lil Nas Xs' Satan Shoes 666 Limited Edition With Human Blood

Popular clothing brand Nike is suing the manufacturer of Nike X Lil Nas X’s shoes called the Satan Shoes the 666 limited editions, as they are saying they didn’t approve or authorise the production of such shoes and it makes them look like they are endorsing Satanism, Buzzfeed News reports.

According to the publication, Nike collaborated with rapper Lil Nas X and the rapper has been producing clothing items under their Nike X Lil Nas X for some time now.

However, all hell broke loose between the 2 collaborators when Lil Nas X and the producer of his brand MSCHF decided to go viral while launching Lil Nas X’s new music video for “Montero (Call Me by Your Name).”

MSCHF produced the version of  Nike Air Max 97s under Lil Nas X’s brand and named the shoes the Satan Shoes, 666 Milited edition. The shoes have the following features:

  1. Red is embroidery on the side of the sneakers,
  2. There is a bronze pentagram attached to the laces of the shoes
  3. There is a new red sock liner on the shoes
  4. There is red ink with exactly one drop of human blood in the sneaker’s midsole.

Nike has sued MSCHF and they want the shoes to be discontinued and they want MSCHF to surrender all the profits they have realised over the devilish shoes.

Nike is claiming their brand was damaged by the Satan Shoes which sold out a few minutes after they went on sale for $1000 a pair yesterday. According to the publication:

Nike also alleged that the satanic details were likely to be considered sanctioned by the massive shoe company, noting that there had already been “significant confusion,” including calls to boycott the brand “based on the mistaken belief that Nike has authorized or approved this product.”

To back up its claim that its brand was being hurt by the Satanic Shoes, Nike’s court filing included screenshots of online comments from people promising not to buy Nike products in the future.

Meanwhile, in the video that the rapper Lil Nas X  who is in the centre of the controversy was trying to promote by the Satan shoes, the openly gay rapper pole dances to hell to give the devil a lap dance.
