Botswana’s national senior men football team, the Zebras have been promised mega bonuses if they beat Zimbabwe Warriors and qualify for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations finals edition.

GOVERNMENT SUPPORT AND MOTIVATION FOR THE SENIOR NATIONAL TEAM (ZEBRAS) SUCCESS IN QUALIFYING FOR AFCON 2021
The Ministry takes this opportunity to wish the Senior National Team (The Zebras) best of luck and success in their forthcoming AFCON qualifying matches. The Zebras play against Zimbabwe this evening in Francistown and will be away to Algeria on the 29th March 2021.
The Ministry will offer an amount of P650 000.00 to be shared by the Zebras players and the technical team as an incentive to qualify for AFCON 2021. This is in addition to their regular remuneration for National Team duty. We hope that this will add to the motivation of the team to do their best and make us proud by qualifying for the finals for only the second time since 2012.
The Minister of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development, Hon Tumiso Rakgare will attend the match against Zimbabwe to give the team his support.
We join Batswana wishing the Zebras good luck! #Zebras4Life! Thank You
