Lybian Army Commander Mahmoud Al-Werfalli Wanted By The ICC Assasinated

A Lybian Army Commander Mahmoud Al-Werfalli was a few hours ago shot dead in Benghazi, a major seaport and the second-most populous city in Lybia, Lybia Review reports.

Other sources are claiming that Al-Werfalli was travelling in a vehicle in the city when a group of armed people open fired at his vehicle leaving him dead.

Mahmoud Al-Werfalli was a known pro Libyan National Army (LNA) Commander Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar special force leader and he was wanted by the ICC at the time of his death

According to the ICC Al Werfalli was wanted for:

Mr Al-Werfalli is alleged to have directly committed and to have ordered the commission of murder as a war crime in the context of seven incidents, involving 33 persons, which took place from on or before 3 June 2016 until on or about 17 July 2017 in Benghazi or surrounding areas, in Libya as well as Murder as a war crime in the context of an eighth incident which took place on 24 January 2018, when Mr. Al-Werfalli allegedly shot dead 10 persons in front of the Bi’at al-Radwan Mosque in Benghazi, Libya.
