Ramaphosa's Security Destroy Part Of King Zwelithini's Palace Fence To Enable Him To Escape An Angry Mob

An angry mob attacked South African President Cyril Ramaphosa at the funeral of the Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini and his security detail had to destroy part of the palace’s fence for him to escape, IOL News reports.

Ramaphosa and some VIPs were at KwaKhethomthandayo royal palace in Nongoma in Kwazulu Natal where the Zulu King was being buried when the incident occurred.

Men clad in traditional regalia, carrying traditional weapons like knobkerries, spears and spears chanting slogans camped at the gate of the palace and the had to be displaced by South Africa Police Service when the commotion became tense.

King Zwelithini died last week Friday after he had been in hospital since mid-February battling with an undisclosed ailment.
