Tanzania’s opposition leader Tundu Lissu has sensationally claimed that Tanzania’s President John Magufuli was transferred from a hospital in Nairobi to India as he is being treated for COVID-19, Aljazeera reports.
Lissu said he got the information from his medical and security sources in Nairobi and he even said the Tanzanian government will probably not be forthcoming when it comes to sharing the information with the people of Tanzania.

Lissu has earlier told Reuters on Wednesday that”@He’s (Magufuli) comatose since yesterday morning” before Kenyan newspapers started circulating reports that an African leader was being treated for COVID and was on a ventilator in Nairobi.
Sharing information about Magufuli’s response to COVID-19 and how he has handled the situation and his current state using Twitter, Lissu said:
Latest update from Nairobi: The Man Who Declared Victory Over Corona “was transferred to India this afternoon.” Kenyans don’t want the embarrassment “if the worst happens in Kenya.” His COVID denialism in tatters, his prayer-over-science folly has turned into a deadly boomerang!
Magufuli last months reportedly in a cryptic message acknowledged that Tanzania has a COVID-19 problem when he said people should be careful when they take vaccines and practice social distancing and wearing masks.
