In a sad incident that was first reported by the permanent secretary of the Information, Broadcasting and Publicity ministry Ndavaningi Nick Mangawana, 6 people reportedly died after they were mowed down by 2 racing cars as they were on their way for prayers.
Nick Mnagwana used microblogging site Twitter to share the unfortunate incident and had said:
Mt Darwin. 2 cars racing each other mowed down 7 people to death in an RTA at Goora Business Centre on the Bindura- Mt Darwin Highway. All seven were pedestrians who had just alighted from a Kombi, on their way for prayers. A well-known gold buyer is involved.
However, ZRP has released a report on the incident and said 6 people died and one person was severed injured they were taken to Mt Darwin hospital while the bodies of the deceased were taken to a nearby morgue at Mt Darwin Hospital.
