The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has included United Kingdom-based players in the Warriors’ provisional squad for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Botswana and Zambia next month.
ZIFA postponed announcing the squad since Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana are included in the UK’s list of coronavirus red spots.
The football association has been waiting for responses to requests for the release of players based in the UK a fortnight ago.
Warriors technical members on Wednesday announced a squad of 38 players which will be trimmed towards 22 March when Zimbabwe plays Botswana in Gaborone.
