Kwekwe Magistrate Grants Bail To Wanted Robbers Who Stole President Mnangagwa’s Speech

Kwekwe magistrate Cheryl Tembo yesterday granted bail to 2 daring robbers who last year stole President Mnangagwa’s Independence day speech and a laptop from his aide’s car, Newsday reports.

ZRP reportedly presented to the court warrants of arrest of the trio Trymore Jakarasi (35) and Shepherd Madaka (29) who are on the Masvingo Police’s most wanted list but the duos were released on $5000 bail nonetheless.

Tinashe Matete Dube (27) of Glen View 3, Harare, who was part of the hand that was arrested for the crime was remanded to his hospital bed at Kwekwe General Hospital after he was injured as he was evading arrest.

The gang is on the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Masvingo’s “most wanted list” for theft of different goods including cars and other valuables and a docket under case number CR17/06/2020 was opened last year.
